For the production of key fobs, chips compatible with S50 systems were used, which owe their popularity to the combination of low price and large amount of memory.
RFID - technical information
The key fobs work at a frequency 13.56MHz. They have 1024b of memory (16 sectors of 4 blocks of size 16b). Without including configuration and factory blocks, the card provides 752b for writing any user data. Each sector can be protected against writing/reading using a defined access key. When writing data in the NFC NDEF format, the chip allows for 716b recording. The devices do not have an internal power supply, so there is no need to replace/charge the battery.
